Where is the outrage?
Are we not trying to wipe out a living creature when we attack viruses? Are they not micro organisms? Their not cute furry kittens, or intelligent dolphins, or the salt marsh field mouse, but aren’t they living creatures too?, where’s the outrage at evil humans trying to exterminate the viruses of the world?
What do creationists feel is incorrect about evolution and what evidence supports their claims?
I see a lot of creationists bash evolution but offer no scientific evidence that evolution is incorrect. What evidence do creationists have that lead them to the conclusion that evolution is false? It is clear that the scientific field widely supports evolution and their is a significant amount of evidence supporting it. Where are the [...]
Is war a necessary part of human existence?
I find it only appropriate to ask a question on war on this most auspicious day. We all wish for peace, love and happiness, but do we know what we are asking for? War is a tragedy, and it is terrible to see so many brave soldiers die horrid deaths for a cause that may [...]
For those who do not believe the teachings of a specific faith, but are spiritual, do you think…
that you will have sentience…cognition after death? If you feel that we are, simply put, part of the universe with the universe as ‘God’ or that we are an exchange of energy… does any part of us live on in a sentient way? Or a cognitive way?No bashing please, no arguing…just sharing opinions…
how come the HISTORY channel did not discuss any of the actual evidence in their 9/11 conspiracy….
…….theories program that the "conspiracy theorists" are wanting answers for?? i finally have seen the show and was very unhappy with it as a "factual" documentary. the first hour was just one insult after the other, saying that the claims of the conspiracy theorists ideas were easily explained, but they would never tell you what [...]
People in religions against homosexuality, if a "Gay gene" were found, how would this effect your…
Opinion about homosexuality as a "sin?" If it is completely nature, rather than nurture…how could homosexuality possible be a "sin?" If it is a sin, why would your God be so cruel?
Why is evolution taught as FACT in our schools, when it is only a theory?
Many of evolutions ideas can not be substantiated by a fossil record or by good science…. In fact many reputable scientists today are becoming uncomfortable with this "theory" of evolution.
So Global Warming is dead. Who’s mourning?
The brilliant documentary on Channel 4 last night, "The Great Global Warming Swindle", in interviews with top meteorologists, geologists, oceanographers, climatologists, physicists and others worldwide, utterly destroyed the global warming argument and exposed it as a myth. I hope we will all now see sense.
Do you believe in man-made global warming? What about the possibility of global cooling?
http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/financialpost/comment/story.html?id=597d0677-2a05-47b4-b34f-b84068db11f4&p=4 Some important quotes from this article:"Climate stability has never been a feature of planet Earth. The only constant about climate is change; it changes continually and, at times, quite rapidly. Many times in the past, temperatures were far higher than today, and occasionally, temperatures were colder." "But the science of global climate change is [...]
Answer to global warming?
What if there was a giant machine that made dry ice out of the CO2 in the air. Would this be economical? Will there be any use for the dry ice, possibly as fuel for a compressed air car (carbon neutral). What about getting rid of the dry ice in space?
I am a global warming skeptic: Would you agree that this is a decent reason to question it?
http://www.dailytech.com/Myth+of+Consensus+Explodes+APS+Opens+Global+Warming+Debate/article12403.htmI respect those that disagree as it is seemingly a worthy cause (anyone with half a brain would want to save the planet, it makes sense in that reguard). However, after having wondered as why much of the theory is purported by ‘new’ types of big industry (mass media, ‘green’ companies, lobbyists) I now believe [...]
Could supernaturals be naturals that we cannot yet explain.
Ghosts, Divinity etc. Are they yet to be explained rationally as to how they fit into the network of those we understand and for which we have universally accepted explanations, science and mathematics.
Ok, this may be a silly question, but why don’t pant size and underwear size correspond?
It just seems a little silly that I can wear a size 5 pair of undies, and a size 10 pair of pants OR if you wear a size 6 pair of undies then you fit into a size 12 pair of pants,… the list could go on, but the point is, why don’t they [...]
Do you believe the Genesis creation "days" were long periods of time?
I believe the creation "days" were long periods of time spanning billions of years. Science affirms biblical creation and refutes darwinian evolution. The Hebrew word yom, translated as "day" can also mean "an indefinite period of time" as in Genesis 2:4. Boqer for "morning" can also mean "beginning", and ereb for "evening" can also mean [...]
Do you feel it would be environmentally safe to send electricity from space on a microwave beam?

What physical feature do ‘smell’ and ‘taste’ measure? Pls see Q details before answering.
I asked this question some time ago, but have never received a satisfactory answer. So here it is again. Sight measures the ability of an object to reflect photons in the ~400 – ~700nm range. Hearing detects the change in pressure caused by the vibrations of an object in the 20-20,000 Hz range. Touch detects [...]
I’m starting University next year…What should I use to take notes, do labs etc…?
I’m starting university next year…In HS, I used the binder that you could open up and add sheets and stuff like that. What should I use for University? I hear a scribbler is the best for my lectures. Should I two sets of notepads for my lectures and seminars (of the same course)? What should [...]
Creation vs Evolution vs Intelligent Design… What is it you believe and why?
Creation says that everything that ever existed in the past, present and future of this world was created during Genesis. Evolution says time and environment influenced genetic changes in both plants and animals over the course of centuries. Intelligent Design says it is a mixture of both. I believe that to say there is no [...]

Have you heard of the document entitled "A Scientific Dissent From Darwinism"?
As of 2007 more than 700 scientists from major universities around the world have signed a document entitled "A Scientific Dissent From Darwinism", stating that they are skeptical of claims that random mutation and natural selection can account for the complexity of life. In other words, these scientists think that Darwin was wrong.

Evolutionists, how do you know that the pre-human hominids weren’t created by God before humans?
I believe that the pre-human hominids(bi-pedal primates) were ape-like creatures that God created before He created Adam and Eve. There is no evidence that humans evolved from the hominids. I am an old-earth creationist.
Warm water freezes faster than cold water, but to the best of my knowledge cold water does not boil faster than warm water. What other examples can you make where perceived opposites don’t react in lab experiments as a layman might predict?
ok not the best phrased question but after 3 brandy’s (one to warm me up before going outside to so I could clean the inside of the hire car and 2 to revive me afterwards…..well that’s my excuse) it was the best I can do lol
does water really evaporate at 100 Degrees Celcius?
they all tell you that water evaporates at 100 degrees celcuis, but does it really? when you have a hot drink, such as tea, steam comes of the tea , but why does steam come off the tea if it is below 100 degrees ? same when you have a bath – the room goes [...]
Is oxygenated water a hoax?
This is a followup to a question I asked a week back on what oxygenated water was. As I was reading the answers and doing some searching based on the links I was getting conflicting ideas – some saying its good for you etc other saying its just pseudoscience and drinking it doesn’t change anything. [...]
How do you calculate the energy generated from a Wind Turbine or Water Turbine?
I know how much Kwh I use from our energy bills and am looking to see what we can generate from Wind & water turbines. Can you provide formula to do the calculations? Does size matter? Size of turbine, size of head or flow of water?
Global Warming.
A load of cobblers? I believe so, throughout history there have been cyclic rises and dips of average temperature (approximately 60 year cycle), the last dip being in 1970 and in fact since 1998 the average temperature has been falling. What are your feelings?
What will happen when the moon drifts to far away from the Earth for it to have an effect ?

How does such a tiny amount of cornflour thicken up such a vast amount of mince?
Relatively speaking, two teaspoons of cornflour mixed into a paste makes about four pints of watery (yeuch) gloop into a nice thick gravied mince… that’s amazing, how does it do it?
Peanuts!
I remember that when you used to get peanuts in their shell, you could get shells with one, three, or even sometimes four chambers, each filled with a nut. Now, it seems that all mono-, tri- and tetranuts have been erradicated. Nowadays, you only get the two nutted variety. Is this because of some EU [...]

It’s NOT an excuse! Honest! I was genuinely ill during my latest Chemistry lesson and missed the whole info that was vital to this homework. In fact, you don’t even need to give an answer, just some advice on how to do it (although an answer would be nice) What I have to do is [...]

I recently asked a question about Pallegra.
It turns out this disease came from a corn or maize based diet. Apparently corn on its own does not have niacin which the body can utilise, and without niacin, people get this horrible disease. The American settlers had adopted the Native American’s use of maize, but there was one difference: the native Americans treated [...]
