Have you ever been embarassed by something a child said at the wrong time, in the wrong place?

My son ( nine at the time) came with me while I dropped his big brother and his friends off one evening. All of a sudden this wee voice pipes up…"Mum… what’s an orgasm"
This caused huge jocularity amongst the teenagers in the car. I was left having to explain it to him in front of [...]

Gabriel Heinze want to leave Man United to go to Liverpool. Man U will not sell him to Liverpool. Isn`t this a bit laughable. I bet if Liverpool offered 30 million they would sell him.

Do you think this is taking sporting rivalry too far. Players move between London clubs. " Transfers between the two north-west rivals are rare and the last first-team player to move from United to Liverpool was Phil Chisnall in 1964". I know some of you will go boo , it`s only football.

I`m a big Derby County supporter, who has seen them lose at Wembley twice. Do I risk going to the playoff final again and be gutted once again, or sit at home and watch the drama unfold ?

Have you checked out whether you’re being charged too much for your water and sewage ?

We got our water bill in and were somewhat shocked at how high it has become. Coincidently I caught a report on GMTV this morning.
We’re not on a water meter, and there are only two of us rattling around in a three bedroom house. Being on a meter would it seems save us a small [...]

Why when learning a new language is it so much easier to remember rude words than ordinary ones?

My children are all learning languages at the moment but most of the time they cannot remember the basics but can remember the rude words.

Where do you go when you need to think things through?

I always find myself sitting in a tiny church in Little Missenden. My Dad is buried there. It’s a very old church, the inside of which gives me a tremendous feeling of peace. I’ll go take a pic tomorrow and pop it on here. Though it’s nothing remarkable to look at, it’s very special to [...]

Do all cows when eating grass eat facing the same direction?

My daughter has been eating the giggle pods of cheese and they have cow related trivia on them stating that cows when eating in a herd will all face the same way. Does anyone know if this is true and if there is an actual reason for this phenomenon?

How should we settle the dispute with the Ruskies ? They won`t hand over the chief suspect in the Litvenyecko murder, we won`t hand over some terrorists they want.

Sending home diplomats is boring. I reckon a WWF style match, good against evil, in a cage in filled with custard. Or perhaps a straight, stone, paper scissors game, best of three. How would you decide who wins ?

The government has been informed by the panel set up to advise it in regard to ID cards that allowing the system to be privatised in its view will lead to fraud and abuse of the system

Further more they dont believe it will fulfil its purpose yet the government is determined to go ahead anyway and insists there is no threat to security despite all evidence and advice to the contrary. Are you happy about ID cards? Are you happy about personal data being handled by multiple private companys?http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2008/may/11/idcards.civilliberties

Somewhere in England and I seem to think it’s in the West Country or somewhere like Dorset, there is a town/village that has a clock that shows the local time i.e. what the time would be there if we didn’t stick to GMT. I’ve seen it on travel shows in the past and now [...]

If you are short of room in your recycling bins , have you or are you tempted to put an un-recycleable item in your recycling bin.

The binmen refused to take our Garden Waste bin this morning because "person" had decided to empty their weeks worth of beer tinnies in our Garden bin. If I`d have done it myself I would have thought, fair cop , and wouldn`t do it again.
