There are other things you cannot do whilst driving.
Why is setting something on fire, holding it in a hand, making smoke which could limit vision, and taking a drug ok?

In the past week, I’ve seen news reports where a driving student failed her test after soaking someone, and was told by the instructor that she should have stopped and exchanged details, as this was technically an accident.
However, Scottish police have complained that someone dialled 999 after being the victim of such a splashing (which, [...]

Why do drivers find it so hard to understand roundabouts?

I get really frustrated by roundabouts – particularly when people who are turning left on a three lane roundabout ‘wander’ into the middle lane as they drive a straight line from roundabout entrance to exit, even when there are lines marked on the road.
Why is the roundabout such a difficult concept to master? Should [...]

Bird’s eye view of roundabouts?

I absolutely hate those huge roundabouts at motorway junctions and I never know which lane I’m meant to be in. Is there site where it’s possible to look at diagrams of these horrendous places so I could get an idea of where to go before I acually have to do it for real?

how likley do you think it’ll be that people are pulled over by the police for smoking while driving?

the same go’s for eating/drinking while driving. the new highway code seems very grey, as usual for a governmental booklet, as to the exact law. could a jobsworth or a police officer who’s having a slow or bad day just pull someone over and issue a penalty just for driving with a ciggie in their [...]

Is it right that in future Driving Examiners may cease telling people whether they passed or failed immediately after their practical test drive.

This change is being proposed specifically because there has been an increasing number of incidents recently where government Driving Examiners after telling a Candidate "sorry you did not pass this time" have been thumped and suffered injury. Is there any other solution to solving this problem.

Do you agree with a lower alcohol driving limit for young people?

Sir Liam Donaldson, the chief medical officer, is asking for an alcohol limit of zero for young and inexperienced drivers.
