if you have been overcharged for tobacco products, can you claim compensation?

please note this is NOT my own question. the news just says tobacco manufactorers and shops have been caught price fixing and that they were acting illegaly. how would a smoker go about claiming back the "stolen" money? we’ve been together for 7 yrs. and since we had kids, 2 yrs. ago, we don’t fight. we get annoyed w/eachother but no arguing. is that wierd? should i worry? i don’t know anyone who gets along all the time but we seem to. i probably should be happy and drop it but i would appreciate someone elses opinion.

I know that the law was introduced some time ago to stop people from smoking in company vehicles, and indeed, despite the fact that I would never let someone smoke in my company car, I still have to have an unsightly no-smoking sticker in the vehicle.

And yet I see loads of vans driving past me, obviously being used for some commercial purpose, with the driver and/or passenger smoking. Even on those Police Stop-style programmes, when they pull over dodgy commercial vehicles and the occupants are smoking, they don’t say "Not only are you carrying stolen goods, but you are guilty of smoking Camels in the cabin!"

How many people have been prosecuted for smoking in a company vehicle?

It seems I’ve P.O.’d a few people with a couple questions I asked. Are some people on here stupid?

For whatever reason, certain ignorant, uneducated people here on the Q&A have decided to label me a rascist. I’ve said nothing to offend anyone or race. I ask a couple question of some current events, and ask for thoughts and opinions and next thing I know, I’m a racist pig. I guess some people are afraid of me and my comments. I’m not politically correct and never have been. Being PC is for cowards who can’t handle the truth or see the reality of the world. Labeling me a racist is easy for you, because you don’t know me or my heart. If you want to call somebody a racist, look in the mirror and look at yourself. I guess I can’t ask certain questions without offending someone. I think I’ll end this before I offend someone who can’t handle the truth or see reality. God, help America!!!

Will removing cigarettes from view in shops really have any significant effect in stopping teenagers taking up smoking or help existing smokers quit?

If it is going to have an effect, how will it work? Surely anybody wanting to try cigarettes will just ask for them in the usual way and rather than the packet being taken from a visible display it will just be taken from a more discrete location. I shred all my personal stuff to stop I.D. Theft. I was clearing up some stuff and Found a Repeat Prescription, it had my D.O.B. name and address on it. It then got me thinking whats on my medication packets,sure enough on the sticky label was my Name, D.O.B. Address etc. (even doctors name and surgery.) So now i have started to shred them. Have you ever thought re your meds if you are on them, that you can be traced (if the thieves want to.)and not thought a 2nd thought that prescriptions can also lead to I.D. theft.

Live messenger does not work with Windows 7

i have windows 7 build 7048, the windows live messenger does not minimize to the notification area. i cant seem to find any options to enable/disable this. its worked with all other builds (yet to try 7057). so why not this one. Is there any way of telling if a live show features lots of swearing?

I would like to go and see Rob Brydon live with my missus, but if it is full of swearing, she won’t like it. I’ve checked a couple of reviews, who do not mention if there’s lots of bad language or not. Anyone have any idea as to how I can find out? I don’t mind the occasional swear (who does?) but it he f’s and blinds his way through the show, my missus will have us out at the interval.

I’m writing an essay on the history of Anglo Romani, it’s current status, grammatical features of the language, etc.

I’ve found some examples of language on the Romani Project website, Manchester but am still needing far more information!
