Has spring come early? What problems might it bring?

The birds are a mating, and even nesting. The grass is growing and flowers are a already showing their heads….what’s going on and will it cause problems when we get the lambing snow (last snow in spring normally in April) and late frosts arrive?

CM is not far wrong – animals are waking from hibernation too early and there is just not enough food around to sustain them. Hedgehogs are in for a rough ride, as are many garden birds. The biggest risk is a sharp frost in April – if the trees are in young bud, this could kill off many of the potentially fruit-bearing branches later on in the year, which will cause knock-on problems.

How strange!! I actually came on here to ask when bumblebees come out!!
There was one in my house this morning! Unfortunately I was too frozen by fear to take a picture like Neko so I just let it out the front door!
