If global warming(climate change) is the reason for everything bad in the world, why did ice ages and floods and diverse weather occur before man became a prolific species on the planet?

The industrial revolution is fairly recent in the grand scheme of things, and so is the introduction of cars and aeroplanes etc, yet ice ages and floods have happened before, why is it that we hold global warming responsible for the normal cycle of the earth, is Climate change just a scapegoat in order to increase funds and revenues in certain industrys and governemnts? Or am I missing something?

You're missing nothing – Man is not responsible, it is cyclical.
Possibly due to sun spot activity.

in prehistoric times volcanic activity would have played a part in the changes in the weather. The 1885 eruption of krakatoa lead to a world wide drop in temprature of 0.5 degree C due to the amount of ash and gas ejected into the atmosphere.

This is a good question. The fact is man has no influence and certainly no control over the weather. Floods and extreme weather conditions have always occurred. The difference is now that they are all – hot, cold, wet, dry, windy, calm – blamed on "Global Warming". In the Middle Ages weather events like these were blamed on the wrath of God. Now it is a new belief system which exploits man's credulity, with new high priests – charities, "green" entrepreneurs and government tax collectors – cashing in.

Yes, it has happened many times before mankind started, and then nobody did complain. The difference is that mankind now has got power to upset a very delicate balance, and also is able to complain.
