Do you believe that near-death experiences truly give a glimpse into the afterlife?
We are all familiar with the amazingly consistent stories from people resuscitated after "flat-lining", i.e., being clinically dead. They include the tunnel with a bright white light at the end; feelings of peace, tranquility, and euphoria; and out-of-body experiences, i.e., looking down on themselves from above and hearing what people are saying both inside and outside the room where they are lying. Are these just the actions of a dying brain, or a glimpse into The Other Side, in your opinion?

I have never flat lined, but experienced all of those experiences while on hallucinogenic drugs, in my younger, wilder stupider days….
I can't say if it is the other side or not but I am pretty sure it is not just the actions of a dying brain otherwise I could not have experienced it on drugs. My conclusion is it is more likely to be a electrical chemical reaction, in my case brought on through drugs and in the case of a flat liner brought on by flatlining.

I believe it is neither of those things, and is more likely to be something akin to the dreaming processes of the brain.

There is no "other side" other than complete nothing – being dead is just like not being born – you do not exist.

I have doen a lot of research into this area and am kind of on the fence-I asked this q when I first started-will try to dig it out, as the responses I got were unexpected.
Personally I have never had an NDE or OBE so I cant say it has affected me and at this time there is no foll proof system of testing it but I think its plausible but the mind is a brilliant thing.
