I just saw a book review on Book TV by this author:
http://www.randomhouse.com/rhpg/catalog/display.pperl?isbn=9781400063161
They had one person who hide the gun before committing suicide.
A woman who hide documents in Mexico that still haven’t been found.
People dropping like flies and a President who dies.

Warren Gamaliel Harding (November 2, 1865 – August 2, 1923) was an American politician, and the twenty-ninth President of the United States, serving from 1921 to 1923, his term ending as he died from a heart attack at age 57. A Republican from Ohio, Harding was an influential newspaper publisher. He served in the Ohio Senate (1899–1903) and later as Lieutenant Governor of Ohio (1903–1905) and as a U.S. Senator (1915–1921).
Not exactly the most qualified man for the Republican ticket.

When I was in high school (early sixties), our History books contributed the better part of an entire chapter on the top. It also mentioned a tie-in to the term "Fall guy", as I recall. Check out this Wiki reference that I just stumbled upon. I though it curiously large as well, although irrelevant.

I suspect that today's revisional history textbooks are far too interested in "Great Moments in Marxism" to devote much more than a footnote to Teapot Dome.

What does details about the Teapot Dome scandal have to do with revisional history. You have been making statements about revisional history from the start. How do you know it is revisional? I just saw a book review when I wrote about this. Have you seen anything about it to know that new things haven't been found?
The influence of business on politics and government is well documented. When large sums of money are involved, it isn't too hard to believe that someone would make a deal to become President in those days or now.

will check it out, thanks

Revisional history is scarcely a good measure of how we should comport ourselves. I would go back to the Wall Street Journal and other accounts of the day for FACTUAL information.

and Coolidge, as well- the Rockefeller-Morgan combine truly ran America in the 1920's.

The woman who hide documents in Mexico was forbidden by Harding to go to Washington. It involves her being a mistress of someone who married Harding's cousin or something. She kills the guy and gets off for the murder. There were documents involving Rockerfeller and all the Big oil people. There were other government reserves and Teapot was small compared to them. One was in California.
I was only half watching and will catch it later. I knew the wiki stuff, but didn't know how big the whole thing was.

Is he related to Joe **** the rag man?
Russ - July 7th, 2009
I do not think so,
but let me tell you about one of the last chapter of the book it was riveting. Joe says he was getting a little suspicious and ask on of the guys what they are doing. The guy told Joe he was with Orkan Pest Control and that he was just looking for termites. Joe said he asked the guy what he was putting in the support columns and the guy said "termite bait and the wires well they were sensors so they would know if the termites took the bait." Well Joe was not fooled because he saw a BUSH/CHENEY 2000 sticker on the guy's lunch box. Later that night Joe grabbed the fake Orkan man after he had finished drilling another hold. He dragged him into the men's room and began to beat the you know what out of him and said you are no Orkan man I saw that BUSH/CHENEY sticker on your lunch box. At that moment the fake Orkan man swallowed a Cyanide pill and died. Well it was late so Joe wrote "I had to get some sleep before that big meeting tomorrow, I will call the police tomorrow when I get back to work". Unfortunately, it was late on the night of 9/10.
You have to read the book to see what joe does next Fint, he call someone at 1600 Penn Ave but they were not home but buy the book it a true store

toadhead. Are you sure it didn't say BUSH/CHENEY 2004? Those time travelers have been plaguing the Bush administration or they need something to blame it on. Some claim it's the Governators fault.
toadhead - July 7th, 2009
Nothing about time travelers in the book that I read.
However, I would not put it past the Bush Administration to hire time travelers to try and silence poor Joe Smoe. His is a voice, crying out in the wilderness, mocked by all but the few other visionaries like Charlie Sheen and Rosie O'Donnell

trumanyears. It involved transferring the Naval reserve to the Dept. of Interior so it could be stolen.
BNem84 - July 7th, 2009
ah, the cleverness of the dept of the navy —kinda' reminds me of how they "tidied up" their books during the Amelia Earhart scandal or "would be scandal"…
toadhead - July 7th, 2009
trumanyears. From what that author claims in the documents, they planned to have oil reserves transferred from the Dept of the Navy to the Interior Dept. They planned to get a President to go along with it and picked Harding to run. This was all done before hand. It is an amazing story. I caught some on Book TV this weekend and posted a link for the book.
