What do you do when you can’t stay but you can’t leave.. where does a homeless soul find rest?

what do you do when you don’t want to give up on somebody but it’s become very obvious holding onto them only hurts them? how do you find peace when the only person you’ve every trusted and loved with reckless abandon turns their back on you? how do you find rest when the point of light that always guided you home burns out?
