What is the best food to boost your immune system?
My 2 yr old son is forever iss he was born with a chest infection and since then gets everything going he loves his food but like most kids is`nt a lover of fruit n veg is there anything i can give him to boosthis immune system the Doctor says theres nothing wrong with him and i no there is!

Well, the best way to boost your immune system isn't necessarily by eating. You just need to let him play outside, make mud pies, get dirty a bit (like you and I did when we were young), although you may need to ignore the parents looking on screaming because you're not keeping him insulated in a bacteria-free zone…

Fish and fish products are good. Onions and garlic are very good, so is orange. Don't go wasting money on loads of vitamins and supplements when it's all available in dietary form. A good well balanced diet isn't just a catch-phrase and it's not hard to provide. And as my friend above say’s, let them get out more and away from the TV.

Yes indeed, letting your child play outside in the mud and dirt etc activates and builds a stronger immune system, along with catching infections at a young age; it primes the immune system. I do worry about the overuse of antibacterial this and antibacterial that, it will just lead to resistence and breed super-bugs.
Zinc is a great immune system booster aswell as the above mentioned foods.
Try making fruit smoothies for your son to drink if he won't accept fruit.
Check your house for mould; this can exacerbate lung conditions.
