What should one take to better their eyesight?

Sitting here staring at my radiation emitting monitor, I’m wondering what I can eat, drink, take to help make sure my eyesight stays healthy (Besides limiting computer usage.. which I will do anyway)?

Gee thanks Mike, great information. Who knew?
Certainly not my ophthalmologist whom I paid $185 for a 20 minute office visit and comprehensive eye exam.

TO Custom: Perhaps you should print the whole article out, and give it to him then. Jeeze. I hate when the medics say something without explaining. I have to come home and look it up on the computer. Usually they are right, but sometimes they TOTALLY MISDIAGNOSE.

They don't keep up with the times. In almost any field you have to stay constantly updated. Times change and so does sciences conclusions.

Easily inclined to a walk! Sounds great. Now I just have to avoid being mugged, hit by a car, bird end products, and/or old ladies in fast moving powerchairs :o (
Thanks for the advice OK_Gottit. I will definitely walk more!

After reading answer # 1 thoroughly … and checking my medicine cabinet I took my multivitimin, took off my computer glasses, took my dog on a leash, and went for a lovely nature hike in the forest.
We have returned some two hours later covered with burrs, green tree pollen dust, and both of our eyes are tearing profusely. I sneezed seven times prior to taking a shower and sitting down here to get furthur guidance.
Have I done something wrong? Where should I walk… in the air conditioned mall? Be mindful I am as well allergic to little old ladies doing the mall crawl. I will be running in place in the office in front of three computers until instructed furthur hoping not to experience cardiac arrest!

Oh my Custom, stop running in place!!! Take a rest… if you have not blacked out already or had a cardiac arrest, oh dear, dear!

ah… Custom, you need to treat your allergies and not your eyes from the sound of it!!! Allergies lead to non-permanent, little spot things on your eyes…

And, while there are not proven vitamins to take to improve your eyesight(its sorta like taking jello for knee trouble)… there are things that can help with those allergies!

Ha, ha, ha, glad to see you did not wolf down lots of carrots… that is a very funny story on how that particular myth got started! Has to do with the accurate aiming of missiles! But… I can just see you running in place, wolfing down carrots, while your computers whir and buzz… :D

Wow, they make monitor glasses? Weird that I have never heard of this. Has april 1st past yet. Are you serious? Pardon my paranoia, yesterdays articles left me in a state of shock and permanent skepticism towards all social interaction with my fellow human beings. :(

I love carrots though. Great stuff. I got no quarrel with buggs haha :o )

They told me that if I ate carrots I would have good eyesight. I believed them. One of my cousins had to start wearing glasses when she was three… so I really ate carrots. I ate so many I turned orange, and when my relatives visited, they exclaimed I had yellow jaundice and I was put to bed for a week. My gosh.. I still love carrots, but only eat a few a month now, LOL

As with all things, MODERATION! :o P
