Should Lloyds-TSB be withdrawing their financial support from the 2012 Olympics?
We’ve heard lots about the bailed out banks paying huge sums to employees as bonuses, but should they also be withdrawing some of their less productive marketing initiatives? I note that they are an official sponsor of London 2012, for example – does this effectively mean that one government department (the Treasury) and hence [...]

She hasn’t done it yet, and I was wondering about how much of a struggle the little bugger may throw at her? Also, what would be the best thing to wash it with?
Are we out of the credit crunch now?
It seems to have suddenly died in the news. Not a single mention of it for at least 3 days.
Who would have decided that it was no longer newsworthy?
Is it possible that they are acting under pressure from government to bury Gordon Brown’s handling of the crisis?
Is this lawsuit making a mockery of the US judicial system(and should Lucifer be called to testify?)?

How did Henry VIII decide which abbeys and churches would be dissolved when he set up the Church of England?
Many strong abbeys were destroyed in the Dissolution, but how did the king determine which should be destroyed and which should stay? Who made the decision within each church of whether it should join the new Protestant church, or whether it should remain Catholic, and face destruction?

Why does the ancient symbol for peace and goodwill strike terror into the hearts of people?
I’m talking about the swastika. I know about people equating it with Naziism, but isn’t it time that this false use and correlation was relinquished and the proper interpretation reinstated? The reason I ask is because I put it up to be my avatar(in all innocence), and had my profie, questions and answers temporarily revoked.
This may be a dumb question but what are the latter day saints?
In an idle moment this question popped up, the Jehovahs witnesses are more correctly known as the church of Jesus Christ and the latter day saints.
What or whom exactly are the latter day saints?
I am not particularly religious but this query is begining to bug me a bit.

Catholic priests in ireland are saying that taking mass requiring consumption of wine will mean they could be over a proposed drink drive limit.
Should this rite take precidence over a law designed to increase road safety?

People seem to think that Obama will have some magic solution to the US position in the Middle East and wider Muslim world.
Why should they deal with him when many would execute him as an apostate Muslim?

If you were weightless inside a space shuttle, would you still have a concept of up and down, or does that become irrelevant?
For example, are all the controls in the shuttle designed to be accessed from a sitting position, or do space shuttles (or the space stations for that matter) have 360 degree control mechanisms.

The circle is the key to life. It is the symbol of unity, the make up of our being (atoms) and the make up of our universe (Planets). We see circles/spheres in every part of our lives from the smallest particle to the largest elements. I believe that the circle holds the meaning of our [...]
Was Jack Straw wrong to make public his feelings about veils?
I tend to agree with what he said – I would find it difficult to have a conversation with someone who was wearing a veil – for whatever reason – in the same way that I would hope that a person would take a balaclava or crash helmet off if they were wearing one of [...]
